Cormac graduated from University College Dublin in 2017. Following this he completed a rotating internship at Vets Now Hospital Glasgow. He subsequently spent several years working as an emergency clinician for Vets Now.

In 2022, Cormac completed an Emergency and Critical Care Internship in Vets Now Glasgow, and the same year he started a residency in Emergency and Critical Care.
